Where do the tours start?
MEETING POINT: Harrigan Centennial Hall: 330 Harbor Dr, Sitka, AK 99835

CRUISE PASSENGERS: Take the free shuttle from the cruise ships into downtown.
Your guide will be dressed in a red jacket, standing on the LEFT CORNER of the main building in front of the shuttle drop-off (Centennial Hall).
If you are not on a cruise: please still meet in front of Centennial Hall.
Where do the tours end?
END POINTS:

GUIDED HIKE- Hikes end back at the meeting point (Centennial Hall).

TOTEM PARK TOUR- Tours end at the National Historical Park visitor center, after a tour of the National Park.
HISTORIC DOWNTOWN TOUR- Tours end at the base of Baranof Castle State Historic Site
When do I arrive?
Please arrive to wait outside Centennial Hall 5 minutes before your tour start time.
Do we tip our guide?
Yes, if you enjoy your tour!

Though not at all required, it is a kind gesture to tip your guide.
Industry standard is around 20% of the tour cost. Adjust to show your appreciation.
How to cancel a booking?
Contact Sitka Walking Tours via phone, email, or the website chat button to cancel your booking.

Booking can be cancelled with a 100% refund as long as you have contacted Sitka Walking Tours before the cutoff time in the cancellation policy.
What’s your cancellation policy?
WALKING TOURS: Cancellations more than 24 hours in advance will receive a full refund.

GUIDED HIKE: All sales are final.
​
No refund can be granted if the cancellation occurs closer than the refund cutoff.
​
Sitka Walking Tours reserves the right to cancel tours at any time in case of dangerous weather or other unforeseen circumstances. In case of cancellations you may reschedule or receive a full refund.
Who is this tour suited for?
The Downtown Tour route is accessible to wheelchairs, strollers, and scooters.
​
The National Park tour is 1/2 accessible to wheelchairs, strollers, and scooters. The last part of the tour is on a gravel path. If you would like to come for the first 1/2 and wait, there is an excellent and accessible museum run by the National Park Service that you are free to explore.

The National Forest hike is NOT accessible to wheelchairs, strollers, and scooters.
The walking tours are on paved streets and sidewalks and last for 60 minutes.
Children are welcome!
What should I wear and bring?
Sitka is in a rainforest!
Wear waterproof clothing. Umbrellas are available to use during the tour, though we recommend you bring rain protection for the rest of your time in town.
Wear comfortable walking shoes.
How do I pay?
Payment can be made online with all major credit card providers or Google Pay.
You can also pay in-person with card, or cash.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
No, no waiver is required by Sitka Walking Tours.
Do you accommodate special requests?
Yes! We are happy to make arrangements when possible.
